I've recently become obsessed by Pinterest's DIY section and decided to keep track of my DIY projects in blog format. This first post is for the jean whale that I made, based on the tutorial by Mevrouw Walvis at http://valaanvillapaita.blogspot.com/2011/05/tee-se-itse-valas.html. (It's a great design- thanks to her so much for sharing it!)
I printed out the photos Mevrouw took of her fabric to use as a template, stitched it by hand instead of machine (because sewing machines hate me), and filled it with scraps of t-shirt left over from my t-shirt rug project. I'm really excited by how well it turned out- my sister has already told me (ordered me would be more accurate) to make her one too.
